Understanding Appreciative Inquiry

Guided by a colleague I am trying to understand appreciative inquiry and use a strengths based approach to create a new service delivery model.

  1. Appreciative Inquiry is a wonderful and powerful philosophy of participative action research. But when you integrate it with Design Thinking and particularly the science of service delivery design, it becomes a philosophy on steroids (in a good sense :)

    Just like our colleague Jackie Stavros has created the SOAR model to “AI” the SWOT approach to strategic planning, if you can “AI” traditional service delivery design, you will have the best of all worlds – but this requires understanding traditional service delivery design and then creating an AI model or version of that.
